Your data
Delete a Bowli account
You can request account deletion here even if you no longer have access to the mobile app.
Bowli Pro subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your Bowli Pro subscription: you may still be charged. Before deleting your account, cancel your subscription in Google Play or the App Store where you subscribed. You can also open Profile → Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription in Bowli.
You can delete your account even if you have not cancelled your subscription.
From the app
Open Bowli, go to Profile, Settings, then choose Delete my account. This deletes the account and its main data. Exceptions for historical records, backups and logs are detailed below.
From the web
If you no longer have access to the app, send a request from the email address linked to your account. Our team will verify your request before deleting it.
Request deletionData that is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the following data:
- Profile information (name, email address, user ID)
- Nutrition and activity data (meal history, photos, goals)
- App preferences and push notification tokens
- Access tokens and session data
Retained data and retention periods
- Backups and security logs: Account deletion does not individually remove data from backups. The supplied configuration cleans local backups after successful backups using a configurable threshold of 7 days by default. Remote copies depend on storage rules; the script does not purge them. Logs rotate by size, without a maximum retention period in days. Erasure within 30 days is not guaranteed.
- Retained historical records: Reviews on other users’ meals and AI usage records may remain without a direct link to the account. Payment events and moderation records may retain identifiers and technical information. The API currently defines no maximum retention period or automatic purge for these records.
Processing time
In the app, account deletion is performed on confirmation, provided the request succeeds. Email requests require manual processing by support; the API does not set an automatic processing deadline.
